Trivia

Director of Photography, Mathias Neumann, has worked with Uwe Boll 9 times so far.

Cole Heppell (Young Graham Grady) has worked with Boll twice - "Final Storm" and "BloodRayne II: Deliverance". He has also worked with Steve Bacic twice - he was also in an episode of "The Guard".

Steve Bacic has worked with Luke Perry twice - "Final Storm" and an episode of "Jeremiah".

"Final Storm" includes numerous stunts, many of which the actors did themselves.
It had been quite some time since Bacic had done stunt work, but he was a good sport about getting back into it.

During the unusually cold and snowy December, 2008, FINAL STORM filmed in British Columbia in the City of Langley, near Vancouver, and Squamish, near Whistler, the site of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

Lauren Holly, who stars as Gillian, says, “Final Storm is apocalyptic and… let’s hope it’s not foreshadowing… strange weather, shortages of gasoline, banks failing… these are the things that happen first, before the disaster. It seems a little too familiar,” she shivers.

While she only met Bacic just before filming began, Holly says working with him “Was a joy. The best thing about Steve is he’s this big huge hunk of a man with the fun personality of a boy. So he’s been a lot of laughs and he’s been a real professional – he’s had to endure a lot of beatings up, and he’s been a real trooper.”

Young actor Cole Heppell, who plays Graham, remarks that the animal allowance on set was quite extraordinary. But, he also notes, “Boomer(one of Uwe's dogs) is a very stinky dog and he could clear the room.
It was hilarious.”

“There was a lot of wildlife on the set,” adds Bacic who, instead of remaining on set with his co-stars in between scenes in the farmhouse, would head outside to a small tent, where he’d try to keep warm by a propane heater. Bacic’s personal set up was not because of his star status but because the menagerie wasn’t simply limited to dogs. During the first few days of filming, Bacic became sick and his symptoms worse. He was mildly relieved to learn he wasn’t fighting an illness, but rather the impact of the nine cats which had lived in the house prior to filming. “I am allergic to one cat,” he says, “Let alone nine! I knew I was getting sick for a reason. Thank goodness we found out why.”

“I could try to explain Mr. Boll, but it needs to be experienced,” says Perry. “The brother comes to play!”
